The A1T-18-50R paddle is one of our newest paddles for 2025. This classic mould was totally re-designed. Specifically, the handle butt is perfectly symmetrical with a perfect size taper. The length of the handle was increased by 1/2” allowing for a greater reach in addition to greater leverage. The total weigh was decreased allowing for greater swing speed. A pin is easily accessible for those that want to add a tether string. Every A-1 Paddle is made only with premium materials carefully tested for power, control and durability.

UniBody Design: This paddle has a very powerful frame! Some brands attach their handle to a separate paddle face that creates a weak spot at the joint. This creates undo flex and is likely to break. A-1 frames are designed and made with the same face material running from the top of the paddle down to the bottom of the handle. This stiffens the paddle and makes it more responsive, powerful and durable allowing for more accurate shots.

Carbon Fibre: One of the most important materials used in making A-1 Paddles is carbon Fibre. This high performance material is known for its strength and lightweight properties. Carbon Fibre paddles offer excellent power while maintaining superior control.

EVA Core Material: EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) rubber material is commonly used in the core of paddleball rackets. A-1 paddles use two different EVA density core materials. One is a 15 degree and the other is 18-20 degree. A 15 degree core is designed to offer a unique balance of softness, flexibility and rebound properties offering stronger attacking power. An 18-20 degree core offers better control while still offering very solid striking power. Both degrees of EVA cores are known for their shock absorbing properties that reduce the impact on your arm and wrist. This component is especially beneficial for players prone to arm/wrist injuries and are used exclusively in all A-1 Paddles.

Balancing Point: A-1 designers work very hard to achieve the perfect balancing point on all of thier models. The lower the balancing point the head weight of the paddle is greater.. A paddle that is a bit head heavy tends to have greater power. The A-1 line up of 2025 paddles have various balancing points offering options for players that prefer greater power vs. control. The balancing point is just one component that determines power and control. The other component is the EVA core.

Each paddle is perfectly balanced which allows for exceptional control and power. The handles were made on the smaller side which allows each player to uniquely build up the handle to their liking although most players prefer our standard grip. All A-1 AERO models are perfect for either “small ball” or “big blue”. After over 15 years of manufacturing paddles we believe we have captured all of the characteristics of our greatest components into the AERO series.

The most common question players have is “what is the difference between each model”? The EVA core we use is the same on each model. It’s a medium density in lamen terms. However, each paddle hits slightly different due the the face material used. Kevlar is the stiffest material and probably has the hardest hit. They are incredibly difficult to drill the hole patterns in. In fact, so difficult my factory has advised me they will no longer make Kevlar paddles so this is the last batch. On the other end of the spectrum is the 3K Silver Metallic which is softer material. This will offer you a bit more control and might be best for “big blue” although all the models will be excellent using any ball. The Black 3K Carbon Fibre falls right in the middle. This one will offer an excellent hit while still offering maximum control.

Another common question is” what determines the price difference between each model”? The short answer is the “face material”. When we identify a paddle as a Kevlar paddle, rest assure the ENTIRE face of the paddle is Kevlar, unlike other companies that paint a kevlar pattern. The same goes for 3K Carbon Fibre and 3K Metallic Silver. The “1” in the A-1 logo in the center of each paddle is actually a “transparent window” showing the face material used. Scratch away the paint in any area of the paddle and you will see the same face material seen in the transparent window. This holds true to ALL A-1 paddles. When we identify a paddle with what it’s made of, rest assure the ENTIRE face of the paddle is made of that material.

A-1 paddles are known for lasting! That is largely because the face material used is not just covering a portion of the face…It is the entire face!

There is no such thing as choosing “the right” paddle. It’s very subjective. In fact, some players choose one over the other based on color. In the end, they all hit excellent and should last equally as long as each other. They are quality through and through. No paddle manufacturer puts more time and effort into research, development and manufacturing paddles then A-1!

The AERO series is definitely a game changer for sure!
